Meet Dr. Geoffrey W. Carignan, D.M.D.
My goal is always to do esthetic, functional treatment while educating and reassuring my patients. I enjoy serving patients in order to improve their health, comfort, and confidence but I know that our office can be a stressful place for some! I do my best at every appointment to communicate honestly and openly. Building solid relationships helps the dentist and patient achieve the best results.
Education and Experience:
My education and practice in dentistry has provided me with a strong foundation of knowledge and experience. Before becoming a dentist, I received a biology degree from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in New York. While I once considered marine biology as a career, the ocean and I decided we were better as friends. Working on cars with my father was what made me want to continue to use my hands and I found that dentistry was a great amalgamation of science, art, and technical skill.
I graduated from Boston University Dental School in 2015 and spent four years as an active duty Air Force captain: a one-year residency at Barksdale AFB in Shreveport, LA building my skills in all areas of dentistry and three years practicing at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, TX. My time in the military gave me the opportunity to experience a diversity of places in the country and treat an amazing range of patients from all over the world.
Continuing Education
By regularly participating in continuing education, I am aware of the latest technology and dental treatments. My patients deserve the best, and continuing education allows me to provide my patients with more options and better results. I am especially interested in advanced esthetic techniques involving implants and rehabilitating deteriorated and worn dentition.
Extracurriculars
My wife and I enjoy improving our home and garden, and spend as much time outside as we can.
Out of doors I love to ski and hike; inside I like to bake and read.
